Do you Want To Tango? Tangerine Tango That Is
Since I have moved to NYC, I haven't even had a chance to think of anything cool to write about, and I am ALWAYS full of those ideas. My life basically is like the show 2 Broke Girls, but it's just me and I don't work at a diner or own a horse. Working at a diner would be nice though...at least I would be earning an income, and owning a horse would just be awesome.
But you guys didn't come here to read about my #internprobems, you came here under the idea we were doing some sort of Tangerine Tango. Well my friends, if you want to meet me on Canal Street tomorrow before or after work I would be glad to tango, but for the sake of you not having to travel to Chinatown I will tango with you here.
For those who still don't understand my weird rant about Tangerine Tango, it is just a color. The color is pretty amazing and can bring life to any subway car. If you are someone who doesn't like wearing a tulle skirt made of this color, you can accent it with your accessories. Accessories are always a great cheap way to play with trend colors, and there is no big commitment.

Trend for Fall 2012: Leather
To start off with, I"M BACK! I know it has been awhile since my last post, but I have been in the middle of a crazy world wind. I do have some excited news though, I will be moving to NYC in September for an internship with Alexander Wang!!! Whoot Whooot! I am also finishing up my last quarter of classes, so basically I can't even breath.
BUT, I do have the time to talk about my favorite part of the cold months, Leather Leather Leather. I Love when I see people wearing leather in an unexpected way. Colored leather is pretty amazing too, but for the sake of this post it's all about black.
Well unfortunately I have to go back to writing a 40 page business plan. I hope now when you see someone wearing a wool jacket with leather sleeves you see the unexpected joy in it.

DIY Glitter Tip Boots
1. Pick out what shoes you want to paint. I bought these boots awhile back thrifting, and haven't gotten much use out of them. I figured they needed to be spiced up a little bit.
2. Use tape and cover up anything you do not want paint on.
3. What you will need:
Mod Podge
Tape
Paint Brush
Glitter (whatever color you want)
Something to mix the paste into
4. Pour Mod Podge into the bowl. They add glitter and mix until its the color you want. Put it in the microwave for 5 seconds. This makes the Mod Podge spread easier.
5. Paint the area of the shoe that you taped off.
6. Let the mixture dry and then peel off the tape.
And tada!! The final blue tip sparkle stomping boots.

Outfit of the Day: Last first day of class
I wore my American Apparel rose shirt, DIY vintage bleached shorts (how to make here), and some pretty sweet leopard wedges from H&M (they are too cool to be photographed).
Item I am on the Hunt for: Oversized Camo Jacket
I'm not sure what it is about an over-sized camo jacket that really gets my heart beating. Maybe it is because I grew up in the country, or maybe it is because I like to look like a total bad ass. The problem with finding the perfect camo jacket is that sometimes it just looks too big and frumpy. I have found a few, but none of them have satisfied my need yet. I have been searching in every thrift stores men's department for months, but I know one day I will find you. Until then camo jacket I will be searching for you.

I Wear My Sunglasses At Night
Okay so really I'm not that lame...I do no wear my sunglasses at night, but I have been wearing my new cat eye sunglasses this whole time! With it being in the 90s, sunglasses are about the only thing I enjoy having on my body these days. I just turned the big 22, and I know I know have been a little MIA lately. Don't act like a needy boyfriend, I have been busy okay?
I do love my sunglasses and I like them a littleweird awesome. My favorite sunglasses this season have been cat eyes, round, and colored sunglasses.
A great rule of thumb for sunglasses is if you put them on and like the way they make your face look then get them. There is no "you have a round face so wear square sunglasses" bull around here. Wear whatever you like and feel comfortable wearing and that really goes for everything!
Here is where you can pick up these sunglasses, and they are all under $25:

Happy 86th Birthday Marilyn Monroe
What a great start to my favorite month of the year.
Marilyn Monroe is such a babe, and a icon to so many women including myself. She told a woman it was a great thing to have curves, and to show them off.
Here is to you Marilyn Monroe. Happy 86th birthday my Gemini sister.
